Corona: competition suspended, training for youth continues

During the press conference on Tuesday, October 13, additional measures were announced

by Prime Minister Rutte and Minister De Jonge to suppress the corona virus. This has consequences for volleyball at AMVJ-Martinus:

  1. All competitions (senior and youth competitions) are postponed.
  2. Trainings are suspended for everyone 18 years and older. It is not feasible to train with 4 people in continuous compliance with the 1.5m distance rule.
  3. Youth teams up to the age of 18 may continue to train. For the ladies under 18 who play with the seniors, Rob is prepared to give training on Wednesdays from 18:45-20:30. This means that Ladies can continue to train once a week with ladies who are under 18. Ladies under 18 from the other teams can join.
  4. The guidelines for wearing mouth masks apply. The advice is to wear a mouth mask in the hallways and while you are not playing volleyball. Wearing mouth masks will be mandatory as soon as this has been legally arranged.
  5. The showers and changing rooms are closed. There is no possibility to use the changing rooms, so change your clothes at home so that you only have to change shoes in the hall.

Furthermore, the current measures will be maintained during the practices, with the most important points of attention: no public allowed and the registration / health check.

Measures were already taken for the Mini's last week and the request is still open to parents who would like to supervise as corona coordinator (see newsletter).
